Debut comedy contenders include Iain Armitage in “Young Sheldon” (CBS) and Tracy Morgan in “the last of The O. G.” (TBS). You and the rest will be up for joining a race that already with Galifianakis and last year’s winner, Glover, along with other well-established companies, including Anthony Anderson (“Black-ish”) and William H. The good news for all the newcomers make the cut? A good half of the last 10 main actor winners (drama and comedy combined) have taken the gold on the debut nominations. So, hope springs eternal in the lead-up to the 70. annual Primetime Emmy Awards.
